Marketing & Social Media Manager

A permanent full-time (40 hours per week) position with the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) – Greater Akron/Summit County, Ohio’s destination marketing organization – is now available. The CVB also manages the John S. Knight Center, Greystone Hall and the Sports Alliance of Greater Akron.

The newest member of our staff will possess confidence, professionalism and a solid work ethic. Most importantly, she/he will be able to multi-task, remain self-motivated and think innovatively.

The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator will actively work to facilitate projects in the following categories: social media, public relations and branding strategies.

Job responsibilities include:

Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an engaging style.

Maintain a working knowledge of all company news and initiatives to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information that meets established goals and objectives.

Demonstrate organizational skills with an attention to detail; manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Display an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms (including, but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest) and how each platform can be leveraged in different scenarios.

Possess exceptional computer skills to maintain databases, coordinate electronic communications and update web site content.

Compensation: Entry-Level Salary with Full Benefits Package
