Multi-Media Coordinator

Position: Multi-media coordinator

Objective: Responsible for creating and maintaining strong media presence, both print and online. The position will support the CVB’s mission and its partners in efforts to promote the area as a distinctive destination. The goal is to develop and administer the CVB brand image, brand personality, brand icons, brand rewards, brand value and brand personality, consistently and artistically.

 

Videography

Collaborate with Executive Director to discuss assignments and determine filming sequences, camera movements, and picture composition. Work with Executive Director to plan and develop pre-production ideas into outlines, scripts, story boards, and graphics, using own ideas or specifications of assignments.

Videotapes program material for production using video camera equipment; makes technical decisions regarding such elements as appropriate lighting, shooting angle and placement and type of microphone; receives explicit instructions regarding assignment.

Edits and assembles final visual/audio program material; ensures consistency and relevancy to production; monitors technical quality of end product.

Construct and position properties, sets, lighting equipment, and other equipment.

Compress, digitize, duplicate, and store audio and video data.

Edit videotapes by erasing and removing portions of programs and adding video and/or sound as required.


Maintain inventories of audio and video tapes and related supplies.

 

Photography

Coordinate with Executive Director, PR Coordinator and staff regarding the photography needs of the MWCCVB.

Take photos of places, products, attractions, members and events for commercial use in Website, Visitor Guide, advertisements, social media, brochures, calendars or other applications.

Obtain releases when models/public is used.

Produce photography with Photoshop. Ensure that all photography has appropriate documentation.

Properly file all photography.

Assist with developing schedules and site preparation for freelance photographer.

 

Electronic Media

Develop YouTube Channel. Post approved work to YouTube Channel, Facebook, Twitter accounts.

 

Graphic Design

Follow the logo specifications and branding of the organization.

Provide layout and design consistent with MWCCVBs brand image.

Produce rough and finished graphics and graphic designs: Create graphics to enhance programming, including graphics for message series, advertisements, rack cards, announcements, special events, web panels, visitor guide and any other marketing and communication materials.

 

Information Technology

Inventory, maintain and repair (or coordinate repair) of all tech equipment owned by the CVB

Troubleshoot and repair problems (or coordinate repair) with hardware and software.

Manage upkeep and security of software programs.

Support staff email needs

Develop, coordinate and implement IT infrastructure needs.

 

Website

Maintain communication with website host, trouble shoot any issues in functionality

Maintain correct and current information on website

Support staff with their web related needs

Post material for new events and announcements on a timely basis.

Develop, coordinate, and implement calendaring system

Ensure all online capacities are functioning appropriately.

 

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: The successful candidate for this position will have exceptional computer skills and good working knowledge of relevant graphic and web software consistent with the position, standard office equipment and clerical and administrative procedures (filing and record keeping).

A minimum 4 year degree and a minimum 3 years of exceptional and proven customer service are a must. Tourism related experience a plus.
