The Sandusky County Convention & Visitors Bureau is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Sales and Promotion Assistant. A detailed job description is available on the SCCVB website.

Position: Sales and Promotion Assistant

Summary: Primary responsibilities are to develop and sell marketing material to help promote Sandusky County to visitors and its residents, in accordance with established timelines, goals and expectation of quality, integrity and service.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the annual development of the Sandusky County Visitors Guide including selling, creating and editing the book.
- Responsible for the disbursement and coordination of the distribution of the visitor’s guide in a timely manner.
- Work to develop a marketing plan for the current year based on the annual budget that will target our leisure market, local market and group tour market.
- Research and update upcoming events for the SSCVB website’s Calendar of Events page and manage the submission of tourism partner information and events to third party websites.
- Maintain an up-to-date media list and write/submit press releases, newsletters and any other assigned media outlets.
- Categorize, update and maintain the SCCCVB photo library.
- Disburse and maintain brochures and posters for the area partners.
- Assist the Director with light office duties and other duties as assigned.
- Develop relationship with area business and identify new/potential partners.

Requirements:
- Ideally a Degree in sales, marketing or communication.
- Ability to think creatively, prioritize, handle simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines and work well with other in a small environment.
