Learn more about the hunting economy and what's being done, plus try your luck at clay bird shooting

Hunting Works for Ohio 2

If your business or destination relies on spending by hunters, consider coming to the free Hunting Works for Ohio Partnership Luncheon, Sept. 17 at Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo. In addition to hearing about the goals of Hunting Works for Ohio, you'll be able to participate in a clay bird shoot for beginners or experienced marksmen.

Hunting Works for Ohio is a grassroots effort to increase the awareness of the hunting economy in Ohio. The effort was launched Aug. 20 at a press conference at the Ohio Statehouse.

Learn more about the effort during the partnership luncheon. After the lunch, there will also be door prizes before heading out for an afternoon of clay bird shooting. Instructions and loaner shotguns will be available for new shooters. For experienced folks, participants will be divided into groups and head out on a course.

Registration begins at 11 a.m. on Sept. 17, with the luncheon meeting starting around 11:45 a.m. Cardinal Shooting Center is located at 616 State Route 61 in Marengo.
