The Vinton County Convention and Visitors Bureau is a private 501(c)(6) nonprofit corporation established for the public purpose of promoting the economic development of Vinton County’s tourism industry. The VCCVB serves as the first point of contact for leisure travelers, special event planners, and tour operators. Marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts are focused regionally, statewide, and in strategic areas of neighboring states to attract new dollars and new business, which results in a positive impact on economic development. The VCCVB hosts signature events like the Midnight at Moonville Festival and sponsors tourism development projects like the Vinton County Park District and its parks. Additionally, the organization is in the early stages of planning vacation rentals at Hotel McArthur and Shea Farmhouse that will fund additional staff positions.

Vision Statement: The Vinton County Convention and Visitor Bureau will seek to be a leader within the Hocking Hills Region by developing and marketing Vinton County as an authentic and affordable tourist destination.
This will be posted as a full-time position. The position primarily involves developing plans to increase tourism to Vinton County and finding a strategy to incorporate Hocking Hills within the plan. The Ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for the job, along with a passion for the community. The ability to employ unique marketing techniques. The ideal candidate shall also be a skilled marketing strategist with the end goal to increase tourism in Vinton County.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising, management or public relations, with a minimum of five (5) years successful experience in destination marketing, tourism development, integrated communications or public relations; or any combination of training and experience which provides required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must have a valid driver’s license with the ability for occasional overnight travel.
