Representing nearly 12% of total overseas visitors to the Great Lakes states, Chinese travelers represent the largest overseas market for this region. If your business or destination is interested in learning more about servicing and getting this market, take a look at this Great Lakes USA program coming on Dec. 4 in Chicago. The workshop takes place 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $150 per person.

Presented by Great Lakes USA, the China-Readiness program aims to educate partners to achieve the cultural awareness and the knowledge necessary to provide the service standards that Chinese travelers will require when they visit the U.S. The aim is to help partners analyze current products and services, with regard to their suitability for Chinese travelers, and to develop an action plan to increase visibility and market share. 
 
As part of the China-Readiness program, there will be an update on the China market today, as well as information on how to get China ready from the perspective of a DMO, an attraction and hotels. Several Chinese tour and bus operators are also invited to share their stories and answer any questions you may have so that you could win their business. The seminar also feature a deep dive in the digital marketing and KOL/Influencer marketing to Chinese.
