OTA’s political action committee, the Ohio Tourism PAC, is a voluntary, non-partisan, non-profit political action committee with the goal to improve and protect the tourism industry in Ohio. Through generous contributions, our industry is making a unified effort to obtain better government through education and political action.

OTA’s Lobbying Efforts
Through our lobbying and political action efforts, the Ohio Tourism PAC has helped to:
* defeat a statewide admissions tax
* maintain funding for the Ohio Tourism Division
* secure a legislative mandate for an ongoing Department of Taxation report on sales tax revenue generated from tourism-related activities.
* increase the state tourism advertising budget
* Support passage of the Great Lakes Compact (water preservation)
* Support the passage of ATV/Off Road Vehicle Registration Reciprocity
Our lobbying efforts are paid for by private donations by those with an interest in our state’s tourism industry. These contributions are used to support those legislative representatives who are friends of OTA and the tourism industry, and whom we know we can count on to support our interests when it comes time to vote on legislation that would be detrimental to your well-being. We need your help to replenish funds in the Ohio Tourism PAC to support candidates who are important to the health of the tourism industry.
