Join an OTA committee!
Code of Regulations – meets to review the OTA Code of Regulations and makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees for changes to be presented to the membership at the Annual Business Meeting
Education – identify timely professional development topics and educational offerings including OTA’s Focus on Tourism Luncheons
Heartland Travel Showcase - discusses plans for the show and works on making the show an even better value for the attendees
Legislative – discuss legislation affecting OTA members and the hospitality industry and develop initiatives that help our industry, meets 1-3 times a year
Marketing – help to plan and promote OTA’s OhioMeetingSpace.com, and provide input on marketing OTA seminars and trade shows
Membership – help identify and recruit new members and new membership services
Ohio Conference on Tourism – planning committee for OTA’s annual Conference on Tourism and contribute to all aspects of this three-day event, plus RUBY Awards
Ohio Tourism Leadership Academy – plans and coordinates the schedule, speakers, sessions and graduation ceremony for the annual leadership academy
Paul Sherlock – coordinates nomination process of the annual award and organizes events surrounding the announcement at the annual conference
Public Relations – help to formulate a plan for OTA’s public relations efforts for the year – from image to events, website and newsletters
Scholarship/Student Affairs – selects a recipient for OTA’s annual scholarship and creates ways to get students involved in OTA
