Overview 

Ohio Travel Treasures is a leading group tour organization that provides creative tour options for groups of 20 or more throughout the United States and beyond. Our sales market is conventions, tour operators, group leaders, bank travel leaders and educational groups. Ohio Travel Treasures has been in business over 25 years and runs hundreds of tours for groups from all across the United States and some international by creating different tour packages and marketing to others within the group tour industry.

General Job Description

  • Brand new position within Ohio Travel Treasures
  • Liaising and Networking with a range of customers, colleagues, suppliers and tour organizations
  • Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships
  • Development of marketing materials, including flyers, newsletters and DVS
  • Writing and Proofreading copy
  • Arranging the effective distribution of marketing material via social media, industry trade shows and targeted mailings
  • Maintaining and updating customer databases
  • Organizing and attending events such as conferences, seminars, trade shows and FAM tours
  • Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups
  • Contributing to, and developing marketing plans and strategies
  • Evaluating marketing campaigns
  • Monitoring competitor activity
  • Supporting the President and office manager as well as other colleagues

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Web Site and necessary changes
  • Social Media development
  • Sales Blitzes
  • Special Projects
  • Assisting with on-going marketing development for Ohio Travel Treasures

Minor Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learning the group tour market
  • Assist where needed with the group tour coordinators
  • Special projects and development
  • Be able to work without supervision


Qualifications for the position


Education:


Prefer those that have had experience within the hospitality industry. HOWEVER, if someone offers other qualifications and a desire to learn the industry and displays computer skills then they will be considered.

 
Experience:

  • Ability to understand social media, email blitzes, newsletter writing and distribution, web site management.
  • Be able to develop and implement marketing and communication strategies and action plans
