Digital Content Manager – Full Time Position
The Digital Content Manager is responsible for creating, scheduling and deploying content across all
social channels and maintaining the ACCVB website. This person will bring detailed knowledge of
WordPress and social media, with strong abilities in content creation, writing and design. The perfect
candidate is someone who knows Athens County well and can access the unique stories and spirit of our
community.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties

  • Leverages website and social media to support ACCVB initiatives and goals.

  • Develops and executes social media campaigns to attract visitors and create overnight stays, drive

    retail activity and generate online and media engagement with Athens County.

  • Produces content for all social media platforms, including posts, engagement and continuous

    monitoring.

  • Analyzes, measures and reports on effectiveness of social media campaigns

  • Maintains social media content calendar

  • Engages with fans and followers.

  • Works closely with county and regional partners to share information and promote Athens County

    and Southeast Ohio as a destination

  • Maintains athensohio.com website using WordPress, including maintaining event submissions,

    creating and updating content, managing business listings.

  • Develop creative content for general tourism and 30 Mile Meal blogs, as well as requests for content

    from news outlets, magazines and other content producers.

  • Assists with execution of marketing campaigns, conferences and events.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and bring new ideas forward.

  • Represent the ACCVB at community functions and tourism events.

  • Some travel required to trade shows, conferences and workshops.

  • Other duties as required.
