Destination Sales Manager
A full-time position with the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau- Greater Akron/Summit County, Ohio's destination marketing organization is now available.
Our ideal candidate will possess measurable and verifiable accomplishments in sales. Our potential new team member will consistently demonstrate exceptional communication skills with clients, fellow Destination Sales Team members and supervisors .The foundation upon which success will be built is the ability to establish rapport, nurture mutually-beneficial relationships and leverage shared goals and objectives.
The newest member of our staff will possess confidence, professionalism and a solid work ethic. Most importantly, she/he will be able to multi-task, sustain sales momentum and remain self-motivated .
Job responsibilities include :

Developing sales leads for meetings, conventions, reunions and social events, while successfully meeting and/or exceeding weekly, monthly and annual sales goals.

Conducting sales calls in person and over the phone to establish potential new business for Greater Akron/Summit County's hospitality industry; our hospitality partners include : hotels, motels, attractions, retail and dining outlets.

Attending industry events, including: sales meetings, trade shows, marketplaces and marketing missions.

Researching and identifying new market segments to expand and solidify new/repeat business sources.
