In this entry level role you will write and develop original content and manage digital campaigns as you take responsibility for a variety of tasks to support our busy Marketing and Communications Departments. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:          

  • Assist with development of marketing communications supporting sales efforts, including email and direct mail campaigns for familiarization tours, trade shows and other promotions

  • Create original content for electronic distribution of news releases, media pitches, member newsletter, event invitations, CVB blog, convention calendars, etc.

  • Update the CVB web site as directed, including developing and posting new blog content, slideshows, media information and working with Industry Partners

  • Develop social media plans and main CVB social media accounts

  • Assist in research and develop analysis of competing cities’ marketing materials and development and compile monthly reports

  • Responsible for tracking and analysis of marketing programs such as web site statistics, and e-mail campaign results

  • Organize, research and develop sales presentations and organizational presentations as directed

Requirements:          

  • Education / Experience:  

    • BA/BS degree and related experience (i.e. internship or on-the-job training)

  • Demonstrate excellent written communication and organizational skills, and a command of grammar usage and vocabulary

  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment and effectively work across departments and levels of leadership with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent knowledge/prior use of e-mail management software (i.e. Informz, Constant Contact, ExactTarget, Distribion, etc) and WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get)-type web site applications

  • Graphic Design experience, including knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and be a creative problem solver

  • Extensive knowledge of PowerPoint and creative experience in presentation development and business communications. Familiarity with Prezi preferred

  • Knowledge of Excel will be expected and experience with database management software a plus
